Justin T. Callais, PhD, is a research fellow at the Archbridge Institute and the lead researcher for the institute’s Social Mobility Index project. Justin is an assistant professor of economics and finance at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He earned his Ph.D. in agricultural and applied economics from Texas Tech University and his B.B.A. in economics from Loyola University New Orleans. Justin conducts research in economic development and institutional analysis. His articles have been published in journals such as the European Economic Review, Journal of Comparative Economics, Southern Economic Journal, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, and Public Choice.
