From AirTalk with Larry Mantle:

Everything comes back around eventually. For the last few years, Gen Z has become nostalgic for the 90s and early 2000s, and even more recently, the 2010s. Baggy jeans are back, today’s pop stars are clear Brittany Spears rip-offs, and television shows like The Office are getting online revivals. But why are Gen Z yearning for a time most do not have their own memories of? And why are they nostalgic for only ten years ago?

Today on AirTalk, we discuss why Gen Z is finding solace in the past, and what trends they have brought back in full force giving us all deja vu. We’re joined by Clay Routledge, psychologist and author of the book How Nostalgia Can Help You Live a More Meaningful Life, and Kate Lindsay, culture writer and co-host of Slate’s ICYMI “In Case You Missed It” podcast about internet culture.

Listen to the episode (25:51).
