Rohan Routroy
Narrative & Culture Fellow
Rohan Routroy is a narrative and culture fellow at the Archbridge Institute. He is the founder of Thirty Eight, a contemplative strategy collective working on problems for which language does not yet exist. His work focuses on advancing human flourishing through culture, meaning, and conversation—bridging disciplines that rarely speak to one another. In addition, he writes about movies, myths, and meaning at “Nothing in a Nutshell.”
Before founding Thirty Eight, Rohan led Brand Strategy at Twitter, overseeing growth across seven Asian markets, primarily China. He was later moved to New York, where he focused on business development and strategic partnerships, helping expand Twitter’s presence among major global brands and agencies. His career began in Singapore after studying industrial design where he worked at leading agencies before joining Twitter.
Born in Jaraka and raised in a boarding school in Kolkata from ages 8 to 16, Rohan learned the tenets of Advaita Vedanta (Non-Duality) at a young age. Years of daily meditation and spiritual study profoundly shaped his worldview. After Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter, he left the company and spent time in the Himalayas, where a period of deep reflection and reconnection with his early Vedantic teachings inspired his current mission.
